OSBD part time development assistant role

We are looking to hire a development assistant to work with the charities director to help enable the on going work of OSBD.

Job Title:                     Part-time Development Assistant

Hours:                         10 hours per week, flexible.

Contract:                     12-month permanent contract.

Pay Rate:                     £15 per hour.

Payment:                     Monthly.

Annual leave:              25 days per annum pro rata

Contract Start date:    Wednesday 1st June 2022


Co-Producing: Working alongside The Director to manage and develop the charity’s online and face to face events and projects. This may include training and commissioned film work.

Project management:  This will be specifically for the Exmouth youth survey of which OSBD will be the lead partner. The role will require assisting the director with overall management and delivery. This role may lead to additional work being undertaken beyond the 10 hours per week and as such would be negotiated and paid where excess hours are worked.

Admin: To support The Director in weekly admin tasks including correspondence, some basic aspects of the financial administration of the charity and admin tasks associated with the charity’s core work.

Mentoring: The role will require some mentoring work with emerging young filmmakers around their soft skills development. This may be online or at OSBD training events. The successful applicant would be subject to a DBS check.


Essential Skills:

Basic computer skills i.e. Microsoft Excel and Word.
Experience in admin tasks.
Events Management, on-line and face to face.
Youth work experience including mentoring.


Preferable Skills:

Creative practice – i.e. experience of developing own creative practice and that of others.
Have a passion to help develop young adults in their creative film making and with a desire to see films that have an impact on our world.
To have an empathy with the Christian faith and its expression through the creative arts.
