60 second film competition.

Welcome 

What is LOCK60?

A 60 second film competition being run by One Small barking Dog (OSBD) media charity. We are seeking films that express YOUR voice about the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown from you / your teams experience. It could be funny or serious, animated, scripted or factual. It could be music or soundscape based, a monologue or indeed whatever your amazing creativity can conjure up! It can be shot and edited on your phone or full professional kit if you have it. What we are looking for are the most impactful and creative ideas. Have fun but craft something you want to say. The only provisos are , it cannot contain swearing, nudity, drug use references or  incite hate towards any sector of society. Oh yes, and it must be no longer than 60 seconds.

1 member of your team needs to be part of the OSBD iTF film community to be able to take part ,so if you haven’t already,JOIN TODAY 

What do I need to do now?
Simply go ahead and create your film and make sure you send it to pip@osbd.org using a file transfer platform like We Transfer by March 26th 12 noon. Please ensure you make it clear it is your entry to the LOCK60 competition. We will need your NAME AND EMAIL . You will need to ensure you have added the LOCK60 end slate to your film (end slate not included in the max 60 sec run time ) : Get those assets here.

Once we have received all films and validated them, they will be uploaded to the OSBD You tube channel and made available to the public at 5pm on April 2nd. The film with the most likes by Midday April 6th will get a public popular vote prize which will be a feature article about the filmmakers on the OSBD website and social media platforms plus a 60 minute zoom with award winning filmmaker and OSBD director Pip Piper.

The OSBD team will create a finalists list of 5 films from all entries and these will then be judged by Jackie Sheppard producer of award winning feature film Africa United and also Daniel Radcliffes latest film Escape from Pretoria (out in the UK on Amazon Prime, Feb 26th ) , the winner will get a 60 minute zoom with Jackie as well as having a feature article profiled on all OSBD channels.

So, get going and make an amazing 60 second film! We are literally locked in anticipation of what you will do!

ADVICE:

Ensure;

1: You have all permissions in place to film whatever it is you do.That means people, locations as well any music , archive / material you use. Credit those you need to (credits do not need be within the 60 seconds)

2: Be covid secure ( guidance here) : Make sure you do not put yourself or others at risk of getting or transmitting the virus , adhere to the latest government guidelines. Essentially, stick to face coverings , washing hands, and keeping distance. Stay Local. Ventilate space and clean equipment. It may well be best to make a film on your own or with a virtual team of collaborators sharing skills and resources.
